It began with Tytos and his army taking the neighboring territories of Tolos and Mantarys and ended when Tytos was anointed king by the newest High Septon in Meereen. By 197 AC, Tytos had taken the island of Elyria and soon set his sights on the rest of Slaver's Bay. Given a dragon egg, he set out in 196 AC with an army across the narrow sea. Tytos Goldfyre, a Great Bastard, was sent by the Iron Throne to Essos to spread the word of the Faith of the Seven. Tytos I's War of Conquest Main article: Tytos' Conquest His task brought him first to Elyria, where he quickly overthrew the Ilvar's and settled down to begin. Fearing a civil war, the young knight was sent to Essos by his half brother Daeron II with the purpose of spreading the Faith of the Seven. When Aegon IV was on his deathbed, the king legitimized his bastard children, including Tytos Goldfyre. Tytos subsequently took the name Goldfyre to honor both of his parents. According to to Daeron II, Tytos was every bit a Targaryen but seen by many as a Lannister. Like his sibling Daemon, Tytos aspired to become a knight and became reknown throughout the seven kingdom's for his abilities with a sword.
